One of Japan's most intruiging graphic artists (really, check out www.wetside.jp) 'Baiyon' has also been producing etheral and engaging tracks since 1998. Having journeyed through cut up hip hop house and dub regions under his Conceal moniker, D1 invited him to perform two ecsatically received live sets as Baiyon at Dublin's Deaf festival in 2005 and in 2007. Now for our 41st in the D1 catalog we are presenting 4 flawless minimal 'trecks' of deep space activity. First up is 'S Soup' a slick fusion of traditional japanese block grooves and drum machine that climbs its way up up into a cloudbursting deep dub house melody explosion. Side A is completed by a remix of aforementioned track by South African DJ/Producer 'Shane Berry' of Synewave and Trapez fame. The mission continues through 'The Middle' showing a slightly tougher side to this usually lighthearted artist. The plate concludes with a stunning bouncy deep jerky house number 'Can Ride, Can Walk, Can't wait' sweet deep melodies dubbed out over club chuggin beats and a red hot squidge bassline.
